Fun with Floss

This challenge requires the use of embroidery floss in our card project and still running until March 1, 2010 at Moxie Fab World.



I used here: DMC floss, plain cardstock, Provocraft embossing folder-hearts, Prima flowers, heart button, heart charm, beads, jewel bling and Bazzil In stitchz -Love.

Alter a Plastic Flower

Hi peeps! I just want to share my first altered item for this year. Artz de Scrap is having this challenge, to alter any artificial flower. I have this flower brooch ( please see photo above) and used the biggest layer as part of my project. What I did is, I alter it and made a flower memo or note card holder attached to a keepsake box. I applied glue stick to the edges of the petals to make it stiff and added some glitters and sandwiched it with two 2 1/2" circle chipboards. I covered the chipboard with patterned paper and put rick rack on the edge and embellished it with some prima flowers, hello friend die cut, buttons, bling, pollen and bee. I put a wooden clothes pin at the back as a memo holder. And this is what i came up. Thanks for looking.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Tuesday trigger is one of my favorite feature at Moxie Fab World. What's the Tuesday Trigger all about? It's about what triggers you, inspires you and also sharing your idea based on images that can be anything you find to be inspiring. Though, I regularly visit Moxie Fab, this is my first time to participate and create a card. This week Tuesday trigger, an inspiration straight from the pages of Stamp It! cards.

Sketch 187 at Scrapbook Challenges

I've been a member here since last year when they're still at Myspace, and participated in their sketch challenge. This time, I'm joining again. I tried the Sketch 187 and here's my take.

Halloween layout- Last Color Challenge for February

Another color challenge is up at Design Dollies. This time, it's a combination of orange, brown and a neutral ( black, white,ivory, kraft....) When I saw this color combination, one thing that came up instantly to my mind is the opportunity to create a halloween layout. I know I have few photos taken during Alain's birthday halloween party in our house. It was such a fun and cool celebration attended by my relatives and friends in halloween costumes.

First Win

Good news peeps! My very first layout for the year 2010 was chosen as winner in Scrap Inspire Create January Challlenge. What a great news to start the year? I hope I can do this more often, joining challenges monthly from different blogs and also from manufacturers blog contests.

Design Dollies Week of Challenges

For the second time, I'm joining the challenges at Design Dollies. I love this site because of their different type of challenges each week: the sketch, element and color challenge.

This is my take for this week sketch challenge: At the Park





The Dollies are asked us to create a project that honors the women in our lives. I would like to give honor to these wonderful ladies, the LB Scrapaholics, who, in one way or another has touched my life. It is with so much happiness that I found love and friendship with them and sharing a common passion.

Here's my take for the element and color challenge in one layout: Happiness
The color challenge is a bit odd to me and I had a hard time doing it because of the color combination of lavender,white and grey.

More layouts to share

Another weekend is coming, and still no layouts done for this month. ooh! that's too bad for me. I've seen many interesting sketch challenges for this month and yet I still can't find time to scrap. I've been very busy last week, and there are still many things to be done in my workshops. After delivering some project kits to schools, there are more framings jobs and albums to do and need to finish it by next week.
But before I forgot, I would like to share more layouts I've done last month. These are the 4 layouts I made during our scrap buffet. I had a great time scrapping with my amigas on that day. Aside form the sumptuous food we had, there were non-stop "chickahan" while we're scrapping.
