More Layouts!

These past few days, I've been scrappin' almost everyday. It was such a relief everytime I finished a layout or two. There are lots of challenges and RAKs I joined for this month of July, that gave me more excitement and really extracted my creativity. Not really for the sake of winning or be randomly picked my name in the drawing, but the joy of submitting these layouts on or before due time and giving justice to the challenge itself is already a big achievement for me. I have never done these before, putting myself to adrenalin rush, hehe! because of duedates. And also, these challenges and RAKs gave me the oppportunity to scrap my over long due photos waiting to be scrapped and used those scrapbooking materials I bought. I'm thanking Issa and Timi, and SE members for sharing some links to these challenges and RAKs. To share with you are the layouts I've done for this month.

1. Sketchabilities- This is my layout for their July 1st sketch. Had a hard time doing this as their sketch is not typical or normal we see on other challenge blog.

2. Mini Accordion Tag Album- another way to use those small pieces of scrapbooking materials.

4. Scrappin Kids forum has another challenge, to make a layout about birthday. I made a LO of my eldest's first b-day ( at last!) and scraplifted some of the ideas from Issa's Enzo's first b-day also.

5. My take to Scrappinmoms' Scrapbytes challenge: altered art canvass. I use the watercolor washing technique for my background which I learned from the Creating keepsake's Encyclopedia of Scrapbooking.

Scrapjam!

I attended Scrapjam last July 5, 2008, sponsored by Scrapbooks Hawaii and My Little Attic. The crop party was great! It was loaded with lots of giveaways courtesy of Scrapbooks Hawaii's sponsors. We had a great time doing all the projects like the Gift bag, CD album, a very elegant flip flop album and a card. The materials and papers we used are all beautiful. We also had Bingo game, lots of raffle prizes and to add more, they threw, again, lots of scrapbooking goodies. We really had fun shopping, scrapping for the challenge and not to forget all those delicious foods they prepared for us. I say, thank you so much to Marissa and Nette for this wonderful event. Sulit Talaga!

These are the stuff I brought home. Isn't it yummy?

Hello! I'm Back!

Hello everyone! I'm glad to be back and finally updating my blog. It's been more than three months since I'd posted my last layout. First of all, I would like to apologize to those people who visited my blog and those who tagged me, for not acknowledging and replying to your messages. Though I'm not that busy, my momentum to craft, to shop, to scrap, to blog ,to reply to messages, etc. almost lost. I don't know why, but it just came.
Once in a while, I do scrap specifically in joining some challenges online.

Anyways, what's more important to me, my passion to scrap is back. For the past two weeks, I've been scrapping, I keep myself busy this time making scrapbook pages, and framing again. I was able to scrap 12 layouts since then. I feel great and happy, of course!

Here are some of the pages I made.

SK Forum Online Crop: Fun photo mat

LB Scrapaholic Group Crop using White Background, black photo, transparency, stamps and 5 different fonts for the title.

I'm scrapping my relative's pictures which were taken during my niece's wedding.
My Cousin and her lovely daughter.

My cousin and her hubby.

My niece Jesalyn and Michael, her partner for life.

To those who tried doing layouts of my sketches, Thank you for taking time. Kindly send me an email (msolivet@yahoo.com) of your complete address for your RAK.

Joanne Yap's Sketch

I think making layout based on sketch is fun doing. Because the idea of putting together the pictures and other elements are there as our guide. But still, we can apply our own style and interpretation. I made one layout of our trip to Singapore last February 2008 based on the sketch of Miss Joanne Yap.

Scrapbytes Challenge March 2008: New Beginnings

The Scrapbytes Challenge for this month is about Graduation, wherein you have to make a layout of your graduation picture. Sad to say, I don't have a graduation picture wearing toga and cap. Hindi yata ako nausuhan nito. But I remember this picture was taken on my graduation day.I think this is the only picture I have that is with me. I even forgot to get the snap shot taken by Olive's Studio. My neighbors thought that I did not graduate because I'm the only one who has no picture hanging at the wall in our old house. Even my diploma was not framed. At any rate, at least I have now a layout to show that I really made it, and This is It!

Scrapbook Sketches

I challenge myself if I can make a scrapbook sketch. Well, I think it was worth trying. I can't believe it, I was able to make not only one but two sketches last night. I was only telling Timi yesterday, that I want to try doing some sketches to scrap. I never imagined that my hands will move me to my computer and started doing these sketches.I feel great after doing these. Again, another first in my scrapbooking life. Please spare me for the choice of colors I used. I still don't know how to edit those cliparts I used as embellishments. I'll try to improve myself on this angle.

I would appreciate it, if you, my fellow scrappers (Philippine based only) will try to make a layout out of my two sketches. I will seek the help of my fellow LB Scrapaholics to choose three layouts who will submit their layouts until the 13th of April 2008. I will be giving a RAK ( free 1pc 12x12 and 1 pc 6x6 shadow boxes)kindly post your links in the comment section.

Here's my take to sketch #2

SKETCH #2

SKETCH #1

Altered CDs

More of altered CDs I made. I created the two CDs with stained glass effects. As usual, the other one is with clock mechanism. I joined these four CDs altogother and put in on top of another CD with paper weight organizer as the foot. I put a candle holder inside the middle of the four CDs and transformed it into candle lamp.
